Want art for your walls, but don't know where to begin?
Check out JC Fridays, a day and night of arts events in Jersey City that happens next on Sept. 5., to get a taste of what some local artists are producing.

Openings and viewings include "Reincarnation," a photography exhibition by Tatsuro Nishimura (Waldo Lofts lobby, 159 Second St.); cityscapes, abstracts and more by Habib Ayat (Habib Ayat Studio, 360 Marin Blvd.); "Sweet!," a collection of ice cream-inspired works by Beth Bentley, Kayt Hester Lent, Christine Moss-Higuita and Kristen Ulfsparre at Torico's Ice Cream Parlor (20 Erie St.); and the grand opening of artist Bob Piersanti's new "pop art factory" at 299 Pavonia Ave. (His "Biff Bang Pow" is shown above.)
